You can be protected yourself by:

  • Enable personal firewall at your home network so that it protects against unauthorized access
  • Use password protection for devices like PC, Laptops and other hand held devices
  • Install anti-virus ,anti  malware and endpoint protection software
  • Use trusted public networks and  wireless networks
  • Verify website links and browse securely
  • Do not store your user/password in browsers

Protect yourself from Social Networking Fraud by:

  • Do not use the same username and password to log into social networks that you use to access NIC ASIA Bank accounts
  • Before joining a social networking site or community, research it online to make sure it's legitimate
  • Be careful when clicking links. Even if the message appears to come from a friend, contact the sender directly to make sure it's authentic
  • Never share personal information such as: User IDs, PINs user ID's, pin's and account numbers on social media sites
  • Better to create a display name that doesn't reveal too much about you
  • Never include any information that can help thieves steal your identity, such as your address, phone number or even employment information

Protect yourself from Card Fraud by:

  • Never give out your credit card number or personal information over the phone unless you   initiated the call and verified who you are dealing with
  • Always take your debit or credit card with you at the end of any transaction
  • Review your statements every month. Check for any suspicious transactions and report them     immediately
  • Don't let your debit or credit card out of your sight during a point-of-sale transaction
  • Report lost or stolen cards immediately

Protect yourself from Phishing by:

  • Do not access important websites via unfamiliar links. Always access online banking by typing in the web address into your Internet browser
  • Never reply to unsolicited correspondence/email
  • Never reveal any account information online and do not respond to any suspicious emails or SMS requesting for your banking information
  • NIC ASIA BANK never request for your account and password information over telephone and email. We'll also never direct you to a site to input your username and password. Your password and your PIN are private to you – never reveal them to anyone.
