Interactive Voice Response (IVR) self-service is an automated telephony system technology that interacts with the callers and provides the requested services.

How can I avail the NIC ASIA IVR services?

You can avail NIC ASIA IVR services by dialing our IVR number (01-5970100) from your registered mobile number.

Should I register my account number to avail the NIC ASIA IVR services?

Yes, you need to register your account number to avail the NIC ASIA IVR services.

What is the registration procedure of NIC ASIA IVR self-service model?

Registration Process Customer need to register their account number in order to avail the IVR services.

The registration process can be completed by following any of the below listed methods.

For Alpha-numeric Account Holders:

    Customer with Alpha-Numeric account number, can register themselves by sending an SMS to 34488 in a prescribed format (please refer Workflow –1).

For Numeric Account Holders:

    Customer with regular account number (numerical account number), have the option to register themselves either through call (please refer Workflow – 2) or through SMS (please refer Workflow – 1).

Workflow – 1 (Through SMS)

Customer need to send SMS (IVRaccount number) to 34488 from their registered mobile number to register themselves.

Once the request has been processed, the customer will receive a Secret IVR Pin via SMS to their registered mobile number. This IVR pin is a transaction pin and is needed to avail the IVR services

Customer can now dial our IVR No (01-5970100) and use the Secret IVR Pin to avail IVR services.
Below are the IVR services currently being provided to the customers:
  • Balance Inquiry.
  • Mini Statement (3 previous transactions).
  • Card Block Request.
  • IVR Pin Change.

Workflow – 2 (Through CALL) 

  • Caller can directly dial NIC ASIA Banks IVR Number (01-5970100).
  •  After the selection of Language, the caller shall then identify himself/herself as the customers of the bank by pressing 1 or as a Non-customer by pressing 2.
  •  Pressing 2 by the non-customers will play the NIC ASIA banks various products and services jingle.
  •  Pressing 1 by the customer will initiate the registration process (if not done so already).
  • Customer can now directly enter their respective account number, during the call, to complete the registration process.
  • Customer will be required to set a Secret IVR Pin, during the registration process.
  • Customer can now use the Secret IVR Pin to avail our IVR services.

What are services currently available in NIC ASIA IVR Self-service Model?

NIC ASIA IVR Self-service Model currently provides the below listed services to the customers.

  • Balance Inquiry.
  • Mini Statement (3 previous transactions)
  • Card Block.
  • IVR pin change.

Is NIC ASIA IVR services free of cost?

Currently, standard call charges (per Nepal Telecommunication) will be applied while calling the IVR number. However, NIC ASIA is working diligently to enable Toll-free service for IVR.

Can I avail the IVR services using the Landline?

No, you cannot avail IVR services using the landline. You need to dial the IVR number using your mobile devices.

Can I register to IVR services by sending an SMS?

Yes, you can send SMS (IVRaccount number) to 34488 from your registered mobile number to register yourself.

Can I change the default IVR secret PIN?

Yes, you can change the default IVR secret PIN. Please follow the below steps:

  • Dial our IVR number (01-5970100)
  • Select the Preferred Language (1 for Nepali and 2 for English)
  • Press 4 to select the “IVR PIN Change” option, once this option is selected, you will receive a message with 5 digit OTP during the call (do not disconnect the call).
  • Enter the 5 digit OTP and press #.
  • Now enter the desired PIN and press #.
  • Re-enter the desired PIN and press #.
  • You have now successfully changed the IVR pin, do not share the IVR pin with anyone.

Can I share my IVR PIN with my Family and Friends?

IVR PIN should be kept a secret and should NOT be shared with anyone.

Missed Call Banking

Missed Call Banking is a free service from the Bank where in the customers can get their account balance, mini statement and more just by giving a Missed Call or sending an SMS with pre-defined keywords to pre-defined mobile numbers from your registered mobile number.

With an aim to provide more techno friendly services to its customers, NIC ASIA Bank had started Missed Call banking services, with this, the customers’ banking details are a missed call away from them which they can easily avail by giving a missed call to the bank’s provided numbers.
